John Wittmayer: Decades of Industry-Defining Expertise

John Wittmayer has been an active professional in the British Columbia film industry since 1985. A returning member of the Directors Guild of Canada – BC District, he has specialized in location management and scouting, contributing to over 60 TV movies, feature films, TV series, documentaries, and commercials.

He served as the Film Commissioner for the Kootenay Region for three years, where he worked to promote the area as a premier destination for film production. In 2015, he founded The Ridge Film Studio in Maple Ridge, acting as CEO/General Manager and hosting over 65 productions. John is currently developing a film studio facility for the City of Nelson.
